This is an unused pair of shoes dating to the 1960s that were made by the Del Grande Shoe Co. Ltd. of Montreal and sold at Montreal department store Morgan’s.  The original price label is still affixed to the sole of the right shoe.  The shoes are made of brown patent leather with tan brown leather band across the toe box, and each has a round toe, metal beaded oval buckle and chunky heel.  The heel measures 2 1/2” in height.  The insole of the right shoe is gold stamped “Del Grande” and the left insole is stamped “Morgan’s”.  The style of the Morgan’s logo was normally used prior to 1957, while the logo on the price label was in use after 1957 - why they used the old logo on the insole is a puzzle, but I would assume that Del Grande had an old stamping die.  They are marked as a size 7 AA - the insoles measure 9 5/8” in length from the tip of the toe to the back of the insole and the soles measure 2 3/4” in width at the widest.  

They are in excellent condition - the uppers demonstrate no marking, the insoles are very clean and the soles also are clean, except that the left sole has been scrubbed in one area, probably to remove a marking, really nothing.

This is a very nice quality pair of shoes in great condition - nice to find unused like this!
